MEMÓRIAS EM PAPEL TIMBRADO
BOOK COVER ILLUSTRATION

Illustrating the cover of Memórias em Papel Timbrado was an invitation to step into a universe where faith, friendship, and love intertwine with the quiet rhythm of the countryside in Santa Catarina. The story follows Paula, a young woman who leaves the rush of São Paulo for the peaceful life of a small town called Ouro — and there, between stuck trucks, wide fields, silences, and new bonds, she ends up finding herself.

The goal of the illustration was to visually capture that atmosphere: the contrast between movement and stillness, the open sky, the fertile solitude of rural life. The house, the dirt road, the solitary bird, and the araucária — a tree commonly found throughout southern Brazil — compose a scene that hints more than it reveals. Like the story itself, the image invites the viewer to pause and listen.

This is a story about trusting the timing of things. And the cover aims to do the same: say little, suggest a lot.
