For The Midnight Taxi, a contemporary thriller published by Penguin Random House, I was commissioned to create cover art that captures the story’s tension, mystery, and emotional complexity.
The novel follows Siri, a young woman caught in a gripping true-crime narrative marked by grief, identity struggles, and a fight for justice. To reflect these themes, I focused on blending atmospheric drama with narrative clarity through the illustration.
Key elements include iconic urban geometry, dramatic lighting, and a bold perspective that conveys suspense and momentum—mirroring Siri’s urgent race against time. The visual style balances stylized realism with bold color choices to engage viewers and evoke the novel’s mood, ensuring the artwork stands out both in print and digital formats.
